ACTING REEL SESSION

We offer to shoot your reel clip on a Saturday (for another day see breakdown below) available in the morning or in the evening at 5pm.  Price is $250 for the session for maximum of two (2) actors for up to 60 minutes.  So if you are two actors you could split it and each pay $125 amongst yourselves, we however, need to receive $250 from one actor.  If there are more than 2 actors it would be an additional $100 per actor as described below.

Breakdown:

When: Any Saturday available either before 11am or at 5pm. (If you want another day there will be an additional fee of $50)

Where: Valley Village, Los Angeles, near the 101/170 freeway.

Price: $250 for 60 minutes for either two actors who can split the price, or for one actor that wants to maybe do two one-minute scenes.

Overtime or additional actors:  There is a $100 fee for every additional actor and/or up to 30 minutes additional time that any session runs over 60 minutes.  Or, ff you run over the 60 minutes allotted time there is a fee of $50 per 15 minutes.

You can either pick a script we provide or use your own script as long as it conforms to the length, which is no longer than a minute screen time.  Session time run about 30 for one actor, 60 minutes for two actors, an 90 minutes for 3 actors and so on.  Note if you only are one actor and paying the $250 you would get the full 60 minutes and you are able to maybe do 2 different one-minute scripts.   This is enough time run the lines, get a few notes if you want, shoot the scene and watch it partially back and do it again.  Generally 1-3 takes is all it takes if you are prepared.  If you require more time than would go over the allotted time, there will be an additional fee of $50 for each 15 minutes or $100 for each 30 minutes of overtime.  You won't need that if you know hour lines and relax and you are not overthinking it.   Actually shooting takes about 10-15 minutes, which includes a few takes if needed.  Prep with any notes is about 5-10 min and the partial playback is about 5 minutes.

We have done this for 16 years and it is extremely rare that someone requires more than 3 takes, and usually always due to nerves and/or not being prepared and/or knowing their lines.

Q&A

Question:  Can you call me, I have lots of questions?

Answer:  Unfortunately, we don't do consultations for the Acting Reel Clip Sessions, the price is so low already to take time out to speak to people.  We keep things simple:  Book a session, pick a script or find your own which should be around one minute, show up, run the lines and hear any feedback if you prefer, film your clip and get it shortly afterwards.   We encourage you to read the FAQs and if you have additional questions contact me via email.  If you are looking for consultations for your acting reel, check out some of the local Reel Services below we have linked to.   Just note we don't endorse or approve of any of them, nor are we affiliated with them.  We are just confident that what we provide is more affordable, better quality and valuable; however, everyone is different and requires different needs.

Question: When do I get my reel scene clip from the acting reel session?

Answer:  Within a week, but most times within 1-3 days.

Question: Can I do a monologue??

Answer:  Sure why not, let the reel clip focus on you, as it should.

Question: Can you help me work on the scenes?

Answer:  We can, but that requires additional time. We will give every actor quick feedback, but to really make a scene better and improve your performance you are going to need to book additional time.   Anywhere from 30-60 minutes should be enough to work on the scenes and make them better  FYI there is a noticeable difference when actors work on the scenes with us compared to when they do not, but this is all optional.

Question: I have a friend who is not an actor, can they read actor 2 for my scene?

Answer:  Sure, and if you use our scripts the actor 2 lines are extremely short so the focus is on you.  If you use your own script* make sure you are the main focus on the scene.  After all, it is your acting reel clip.  *we do not recommend writing your own script unless you want to be a writer/actor and direct your own project.

Question: Can you provide me with a reader for my scene?

Answer:  Sure.  However, whoever does the booking is responsible to pay the $250 for the 60 minutes time slot (our reader does not split any cost and is only provided as a courtesy if you need a reader for your scene/s.)

Question: If I can't make it can I get a refund?

Answer:  There are no refunds.  You can reschedule only one time provided we are given at a least a week notice for the next available slot, but it has to be within 30 days.

Question: Can you provide me with a script?

Answer:  Sure, you can use one of our 10 pre-written scripts others have used in the past without any additional fee.  If you want a new original script there will be an additional fee of $20 per script, and each script is one page (about one minute screen time).  But note we write you one script and there are no revisions, or rewrites.  If you require rewrite or revision it would be an additional $20 for each rewrite or revision.
